Harrisburg Senators
The Project
Prior to the 2026 season, the Harrisburg Senators partnered with Visua on a comprehensive modernization of the video display and production systems at FNB Field. More than 15 years earlier, Visua had assisted the Senators with the purchase and implementation of their previous main video board, which served the organization for more than a decade and a half. While the display proved remarkably durable, the technology throughout the ballpark had reached the point where replacement was necessary, with the control-room infrastructure having been upgraded incrementally through individual replacements and temporary solutions rather than as a complete system. For 2026, the Senators chose a comprehensive approach. Visua replaced the aging LED displays with three new high-resolution Visua LED displays, completely rebuilt the production control room, expanded the ballpark’s camera system, and implemented a modern content-management and display-control workflow designed to improve both the in-venue fan experience and the quality of the team’s live production.
The Challenge
After more than 15 years of service, the Senators’ existing main video board had reached the end of its practical lifespan.
LED technology had advanced significantly since the original system was installed, offering dramatically improved brightness, image quality, reliability, and content flexibility. At the same time, the production equipment supporting the board had evolved gradually over the years.
Rather than functioning as one cohesive system, the control room contained a mixture of equipment, cabling, workstations, and infrastructure that had been added or modified over time.
That created several challenges for the production team.
Older equipment occupied valuable space, obsolete cabling remained throughout the room, and the physical layout no longer reflected how a modern game-day production team needed to operate.
The Senators needed more than a new video board. They needed a complete production environment capable of supporting a modern show while remaining intuitive and efficient for their staff to operate.
The Solution
A New Generation of LED Displays
Visua began by removing the aging LED cabinets from the existing display structures and replacing them with new Visua LED technology.
The centerpiece of the project is a new right-field main video board measuring approximately 55.8 feet wide by 35.26 feet tall.
With a resolution of 1,632 by 1,032 pixels, the display provides the Senators with a dramatically improved canvas for live video, instant replay, statistics, player graphics, animations, sponsor content, and in-game entertainment.
Two additional ribbon displays were installed to expand the digital footprint throughout the ballpark.
The right-field ribbon measures approximately 78.72 feet wide by 6.6 feet tall and features a resolution of 2,304 by 192 pixels.
The larger left-field ribbon measures approximately 128.75 feet wide by 6.6 feet tall with a resolution of 3,768 by 192 pixels.
The ribbon displays utilize Visua Pro 10-millimeter LED technology and give the Senators additional opportunities to coordinate game information, animations, prompts, and sponsor messaging throughout the facility.
Motion Rocket LaunchPad Pro was implemented as the primary display-control platform, providing the Senators with a flexible and intuitive way to manage content across the new LED system.
Together, the new displays provide a brighter, sharper, and more visually impactful presentation than the ballpark's previous technology while significantly expanding the organization's ability to create compelling sponsor activations and coordinated in-game content.
A Completely Rebuilt Production Control Room
The new LED displays were only one part of the modernization.
Inside the control room, Visua removed the existing equipment and rethought the entire production environment.
Years of unused and outdated cabling were cut back and removed. Existing infrastructure was relabeled, equipment racks were repositioned and consolidated, and new workstations were constructed along the side wall to maximize available space.
The redesigned room provides production personnel with a cleaner, more organized workspace and a layout specifically designed around the team's current production workflow.
At the center of the system is a TriCaster TC1 live-production switcher paired with a dedicated workstation and new cabling infrastructure.
A Vizrt 3Play 3P2 replay system provides operators with modern replay capabilities, while a Blackmagic Design 40x40 12G router gives the production team flexible routing of video signals throughout the system.
Flowics graphics were incorporated into the production workflow to provide modern broadcast and in-venue graphic capabilities.
Together, the systems create a significantly more streamlined production environment than the collection of equipment that had accumulated during the previous 15 years.
Expanded Camera Coverage
The Senators' camera system was also significantly expanded.
Five BirdDog O4 PTZ cameras were installed throughout the ballpark to provide production operators with additional angles without requiring a camera operator at every position.

A dedicated PTZ controller allows operators to quickly reposition and manage the cameras throughout the game.
Visua also supplied a new Canon high-home camera, giving the production team a primary elevated camera position for traditional game coverage.
Two additional wireless camera systems were provided using Blackmagic URSA cameras paired with
Teradek Ranger wireless-video systems. These cameras give operators the freedom to capture player entrances, fan reactions, promotions, interviews, and other dynamic content from throughout the ballpark.
The combination of fixed, PTZ, and wireless cameras gives the Senators substantially more flexibility in how they produce their live show.
Improved Production Communications
A new intercom system was incorporated into the control-room renovation to improve communication between the production team and personnel throughout the stadium.
The system includes 10 wired belt packs along with three wireless belt packs and supporting antennas.
This gives directors, camera operators, and production staff reliable communication throughout the game while providing wireless flexibility for personnel moving around the facility.
Combined with the new routing, switching, replay, graphics, camera, and display systems, the updated communications infrastructure helps bring every component of the production together into a unified workflow.
The Result
The completed renovation transformed both the visual presentation inside FNB Field and the environment used to produce it.
After relying on the previous video board for more than 15 years, the Senators now have a modern LED system capable of delivering significantly brighter, sharper, and more engaging content throughout the ballpark.
The new main display provides a dramatically improved presentation for live video and game information, while the two ribbon boards create additional opportunities for coordinated graphics, fan engagement, and sponsorship activation.
Behind the scenes, the difference is equally significant.
What had become a crowded production room filled with years of accumulated equipment and cabling is now a clean, organized, purpose-built workspace. Modern switching, replay, graphics, routing, camera, communications, and display-control systems give the production team greater capability while making the overall system easier to operate.
The improved camera coverage and production workflow have also elevated the look of the Senators' live show and broadcast presentation.
Since the installation, the new displays and production system have received extremely positive feedback for both their visual quality and functionality. The result is a more polished game presentation, greater value for sponsors, and an improved experience for fans throughout the ballpark.
More than 15 years after helping Harrisburg implement its previous generation of video technology, Visua returned to help build the foundation for the Senators' next generation of game-day production.
